Scott Baillie BFP FCA

Founder & Managing Director

Scott Baillie is the Founder and Managing Director of Professional Trust Group, a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Business and Finance Professional (BFP) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Before founding Professional Trust Group in 2011, Scott built extensive commercial and board-level experience within a number of successful businesses.

Professional Trust Group was founded on that experience, bringing together technical expertise with first-hand experience of running, restructuring and advising successful businesses.

Throughout his career, Scott has advised families, business owners, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals on complex commercial, tax and strategic matters. He has served on the boards of several multi-million-pound UK and international groups operating across various sectors, including hotel, property, industrial and retail.

Scott has led corporate restructurings, acquisitions, sales and strategic business transformations.

Known for his forensic approach and keen eye for detail to financial analysis, Scott has been instrumental in successful commercial litigation, working alongside legal teams to develop robust financial strategies and evidence. He also has extensive experience in both commercial and family mediation, where financial clarity, commercial judgement and pragmatic negotiation are critical.

Clients often engage Scott at the earliest stage of complex matters, recognising that the right commercial strategy can shape the eventual outcome. His ability to identify risk, challenge assumptions and protect clients’ interests has earned him a reputation as a trusted adviser in situations where the financial and commercial stakes are high.
